Dry-type Transformer Temperature Range

The temperature range of Dry Type Transformer mainly depends on the heat resistance grade of the insulation material used. Generally speaking, the normal operating temperature of the dry-type transformer should not exceed the maximum temperature allowed by its insulation material. The following are the specific temperature ranges:

When the dry-type transformer adopts F-class insulation material, its maximum allowable temperature is 155℃; when the H-class insulation material is used, its maximum allowable temperature is 180℃. These two insulation materials are commonly used in dry-type transformers.

In actual operation, the temperature of the dry-type transformer should usually be kept at a low level to avoid accelerated insulation aging and equipment damage. Generally speaking, if the temperature of the dry-type transformer reaches 95℃, it is already considered relatively high, and it is not advisable to increase the load at this time.

In addition, the temperature controller of the dry-type transformer usually has a temperature measurement range of 0℃-200℃, which also provides a reference for monitoring and controlling the temperature of the dry-type transformer.

In general, in order to ensure the safe operation and extend the service life of the dry-type transformer, its operating temperature should be strictly controlled within the allowable range, and necessary monitoring and adjustment should be carried out according to actual conditions.
